Terms and conditions

  • Renters have access to the Makers Retreat House and property including the gravel lane, the asphalt driveway, the parking area, front and back yards, and 6 acres of woods behind the house. Walking paths in the woods are not groomed and require sturdy shoes and steady feet.  Enter at your own risk.  Access to the metal storage barn is prohibited.
  • The maximum number of retreat guests is 8. Any day-visitors or additional guests other than the people under this Agreement are not permitted.
  • The Property will remain a smoke-free, pet-free facility.
  • No parties, events, or large gatherings will be held on the Property.
  • The Internet Access provided at the Property will be used for lawful activities only.
  • Noise inside the crafting studio and the house is expected. Please avoid excessive noise outside.
  • The only fire/flames permitted are the kitchen stovetop and propane grill. No fire or flames in the process of crafting.  No lit candles.  No outdoor burning or camp fires are permitted.
  • In the case of breakage or damages to the Property, the Renter shall inform the Management by phone at (440) 610-5146 or email at [email protected].
  • The Renter and all guests agree to maintain the Property in good condition and agree to replace or pay for any loss, breakage or damage caused by the group. All damages and excess cleaning will be charged at the actual restoration costs. Should any repairs be required, the Management will provide the Renter a bill within 14 days after the Rental Period.
  • Care of the Septic System is simple. Nothing other than human waste and toilet paper will be flushed down the toilets. Guests will not flush sanitary products, paper towels, wet wipes or similar items.
  • Check-out procedures will be followed by all guests:
      • Normal checkout time is 11 AM the day of departure.

      • Place all used towels and bed linens in a laundry basket. Empty laundry baskets (one per room) can be found in the closet on the second floor. Leave the full laundry basket in your room.

      • Remove your food items from the kitchen.

      • Place dirty dishes in the dishwasher along with a cleaning pod.  Run the dishwasher.

      • Turn off the HVAC unit in the crafting studio.

      • Turn off all the lights, fans, fireplace, and TVs.

      • Lock all the doors.
