I’m so pleased with the renovations at the Makers Retreat House! The crafting studio is almost complete. Doors, windows, HVAC, electrical, and flooring have all been installed. Walls are painted. Soon the drop ceiling, light fixtures, and ceiling fans will go in. This space is coming together nicely. It will be very satisfying to set up the crafting tables, chairs, ironing and cutting stations!
Meanwhile, inside the house, the furnishing and decorating phase has begun! Bedrooms have all been freshly painted. Beds, bedding, table/lamps, and luggage racks are ready for guests. In the bathrooms, toilets and light fixtures were replaced. Towels, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are in place. Furniture arrived for the living room, dining area, and sitting area. Kitchen is stocked with dishes, pots, pans, silverware, and utensils. There’s a crock pot, toaster, tea kettle and a coffee maker too. I’ve been collecting artwork from local artists and soon that will be hung on the walls. This has been a very fun part of the process and I can’t wait for guests to come and see it!
